Mark was a swimmer for many years and met his wife Sophie through the sport.

Mark went through the Learn to Swim programme at Fox Hollies to become a National swimmer from 1999 – 2004.  His journey took him through Solihull Swimming Club, City of Birmingham Swimming Club and then City Of Coventry Swimming Club.  Mark was a highly talented breaststroke swimmer at a young age but following a serious knee injury at the age of 12 he used his solid background developed at learn to swim and club level to transfer his skills set to become a backstroke swimmer.

Mark was regularly seen in National finals throughout his career. He was Midland Champion and  swam for Warwickshire County at every age level and also competed year in year out at the English Schools Championships, captioning his team in 2002.

Mark is now a Senior Manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, a renowned worldwide financial accountancy company and is often (ok – sometimes!!) seen swimming a few laps at his local pool before work.

Mark has two wonderful children, Chloe and Rosie, with his wife Sophie.
