Stacey started to have swimming lessons as a child around the age of 4, much like the children of DSA. Her dad (Dave Anticliff, who is also a DSA Teacher) was the coach for a local swimming club so it was a natural progression for her to join the club. She became a member of a competitive swimming club up until the age of 16.
Stacey enjoys teaching children a sport she loved participating in as a child. Stacey thinks its amazing to see the children swim for the first time unaided and show how far they have progressed from their first lessons.
Stacey loves to teach the children by making her lessons fun and allowing the children to learn through play. She enjoys teaching with her colleagues and having a supportive working family. After teaching for a number of years, Stacey loves being able to have the time to speak to parents and children between lessons. Something unique to Diamond Swim Academy.
Stacey loves to see the children enjoying their lessons and having fun and understands that the first swimming lessons can be very scary for some children. Stacey has a great skill to recognise each child’s individual requirements. She even has a basic understanding of British Sign Language.
